Empowering Students Through Civic Engagement
On September 23, 2025, the Eta Nu Nu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. hosted a voter registration drive at Linden-McKinley STEM Academy. Our focus was ensuring that eligible 18-year-old students had the opportunity to register and have their voices heard. We believe civic engagement should begin early, and by connecting with students directly in their school community, we help foster lifelong habits of participation, awareness, and responsibility.

Focusing on Prostate Cancer in Our Community
On September 27, 2025, the Eta Nu Nu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. hosted “Man Please, Check Yourself!”, a prostate cancer awareness event focused on educating men about early detection, prevention, and overall health. With African American men facing a higher risk of prostate cancer, our program emphasized the importance of regular screenings and open conversations about men’s health. Eta Nu Nu Named 2025 Friend of Public Education
On September 18, 2025, the Eta Nu Nu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. was recognized by the Ohio School Boards Association – Central Region as the 2025 Friend of Public Education. Nominated by Columbus City Schools, this honor highlights our chapter’s ongoing commitment to uplifting students, supporting educators, and strengthening the community through service and scholarship.
Eta Nu Nu is committed to enhancing the life chances of people of color as demonstrated by the many community service projects with which it is involved. In less than two years, Eta Nu Nu was twice recognized as Social Action Chapter of the Year by the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity's Fourth District which covers the states of Ohio and West Virginia. In April 2021, Eta Nu Nu won honors as the 4th District Small Chapter of the Year. In June 2022, Eta Nu Nu was the only Fraternity in Columbus, Ohio to receive the NPHC Columbus' Outstanding Leadership Award demonstrating our commitment to service.
In 2023, 2024 and 2025 we were again recognized by the Fourth District as 4th District Chapter of the Year, 4th District Basileus of the Year, 4th District Colonel Charles Young Military Leadership Award, 4th District Graduate Scholar of the Year.
